So when you say Disney Sea to someone, they think it is some kind of water park or aquarium or something water related right? Let me tell you, this was the coolest park I have ever been to, and its none of the above things. It was pretty overcast the whole day and there was a pretty constant drizzle that was annoying, but I think that it kept some of the crowd away. Anyways, this is at the entrance, you have Mickey in a wizard outfit doing some magic stuff.
You walk in and they have a commerce type of area where they had the different Disney characters in Burning Man type costumes…..no clue.
As you can see Laina has her popcorn bucket in tow.
This is the view you get once you walk out into the open area, baller as hell. Yep that’s a volcano, yep that’s a pirate ship. The theme of the majority of the park is Jules Verne’s novels, the volcano is for Journey to the Center of the Earth, inside of that there is a lagoon with 20,000 Leagues under the Sea, there is an area with the Storm Riders as well. They also have a San Fransisco, Little Mermaid, Aladdin, and Indiana Jones areas. Ill go through them in the order we went.
Another closer up picture of the ship, town, and volcano. The amount of detail in this stuff was amazing. And this park is over 10 years old!
That is where you walk out of where the shopping area is. Those are all hotel rooms over looking the park, they have Fantasmic in the Lake there, much different than the one in Orlando.
Some of the Storm Rider area.
More of the Storm Rider area.
Inside Storm Rider.
I think after that we ended up going to go get Fast Passes for the Indiana Jones ride and then got in line for Journey to the Center of the Earth, it had a really cool que line. Here are some pics from it:
I like the Ketchup packet there for the bookmark. Ill post a few videos from the line and the ride itself in later entries. Its a really cool hybrid ride, its kind of hard to explain what it is exactly, part roller coaster, part car ride, part amazing.
This is the Lagoon, you can see the 20k boat on the bottom. Here are some pics from the que line for it:
This was a real interesting ride, they have you sit in this fully enclosed pod with small port hole windows you look out. You go through the sea, find Atlantis, mess around with some mermaids and see a big Kraken. It was really interesting.
